When I was about 9-10 years old I got a rash in a very private area. In that family, we did not talk about personal or private things and we didn’t go see doctors. We did go to church once in a while though. There was one Sunday, it was not an often thing someone would do this but someone from the crowd stood to speak and was given the microphone. He said “There is someone here with a rash down below” and he pointed to his body where the rash was “and the Lord said he was going to heal it.” This was the first time I had ever witnessed someone speak prophetically and move in the spirit.

At the time I kept it all so hidden that I didn’t think anything of it. But the rash went away and was healed. One day as an adult, the memory of his speaking came to be clear as day and like a puzzle piece God was showing me that it was his healing goodness was touched me and healed that rash.

I am not sharing this to discourage seeing doctors but in a time when going to the doctors was most likely not going to happen for me, God showed up in a miracle way! This also showed me that in my relationship with my kids, I want to make sure they know that we are always a safe place and that anything can be shared. God works all things for good for those who love him and are called according to his purpose. (Jeremiah 29:11).
