—–This week’s post was written by my amazing husband.
I asked him to share a testimony on his heart where he experienced God’s goodness, faithfulness or a miracle.
Remembering this came at the perfect time as we are at this moment believing to hear back on a job that would be a huge answered prayer. No matter what, God is always there and will always provide. ——
Back in 2014, I was faced with my first adult decision in life. At the time I had decided to not continue with college, barely had a job, and my Dad had presented me with the fact that if I was not full-time as a student or working full-time, I would be paying rent. I was barely able to scrounge up enough for my first month, but by the second month, I either had to come up with 2 months’ rent by the next month or get kicked out.
At this time I was starting to learn about the power of prayer (from the book Draw the Circle). I grew up Catholic and the only prayers I knew were the Lord’s Prayer and Hail Mary, so asking God for things was a new concept to me. I applied what I was learning to my situation and asked God for a new living space. Fast forward to 3 days before my deadline, I was supposed to meet up with a roommate I had found online. Hours went by with no word. I was meeting up with some friends that evening, and my stress was through the roof.
But God; when I showed up one of my friends pulled me aside and asked if I wanted to move in. Not only that, but they helped me land a full-time job. About a year later, I asked God for another new living space by the first quarter of the year. I had completely forgotten about that prayer and was beginning to get frustrated with how things were going in my life. That December, right after having a conversation with a friend about how I wanted to find a new place to live (and I mean immediately after the conversation), my Mom had called asking what I could afford for rent and that a friend of ours was looking for a roommate.
I was reminded of what I had prayed for earlier that year, and moved in by January- the first quarter of the year! I was amazed at not only God knowing and responding to what I needed, but how He remembered what I wanted long after I had forgotten and given up on it.
The Lord is our shepherd, we shall not lack.

When is a time in your life that the Lord provided?
